Ivo Žižka has become a new Director for Personnel and Administration of Třinecké železárny


Ivo Žižka has become a new Director for Personnel and Administration of Třinecké železárny in the beginning of February. So far, he was a director and chairman of Slévárny Třinec (foundries). He has replaced Bohuslaw Heczko, who will continue to act as an Advisor to the Director for Personnel and Administration to pass on his wealth of knowledge and experience in personnel work and management of existing personnel in the company.


Besides newly appointed Ivo Žižka, the six-member top management of Třinecké železárny comprises of the CEO Jiří Cieńciała, Financial Director Rostislav Wozniak, Investment Director Jan Czudek, Production Director Česlav Marek and technical director Henryk Huczala.


Forty nine year-old Ivo Žižka is a graduate of the Faculty of Metallurgy of Technical University of Ostrava in the field of Foundry Industry. Immediately after school, in 1983, he joined the foundries of Třinecké železárny. He started as a ladle man, a charger and slag man at the cupola furnaces, then worked as a technologist centrifugal casting of rolls and later he was a foreman of smelting. In working career he continued as a deputy head of gray iron foundries II, later he became its manager. He was then a deputy director for commerce and in 1997 he become a director. Since 31 March 1999, when the foundry was externalized as a separate subsidiary company Slévárny Třinec, he was its Chairman and CEO.
